Eye clinic, Guernsey
A visiting veterinary ophthalmologist (RCVS, European Specialist in Veterinary Ophthalmology, panel member BVA/KC/ISDS Eye Scheme, BVetMed DVOphthal DipECVO MRCVS) will be holding an eye testing clinic and providing certificates in Guernsey in May, the exact date to be advised. This clinic is fully supported by veterinary surgeon David Jeffrey of Isabelle Vets.

Please email Derryn De Carteret or phone 243755 to place your name on the list or for further information. We have 25 dogs already on the list for an appointment.

Top Dog class at matches
To enable more dogs to qualify for the Supermatch, starting with the February match all dogs over the age of two holding a CC, RCC or PdH, or that are Group Winners or Jersey Champions, will be entered in the "Top Dog" Class. Instead of qualifying for the Supermatch they will compete against each other under their own points system, the winner receiving an engraved plaque at the first match of the following year.

Change of judge
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mr D Clarke cannot now judge at the Members' Show 2018.. Ms A King will take his place in Ring 2 (Toys, Utility, Working, Pastoral) and will judge Best Junior, Best Yearling and Best Novice in Show and the BC Watson Memorial final.

Puppy Walks 
We are now  holding puppy walks at matches. Dogs must be vaccinated and able to attend ringcraf. Proof of age and vaccinations will be required.

All puppy walks will be done during the break in matches, with a considerate person going over them. The puppies will not be judged but will be awarded a rosette to say they have taken part. Cost for entry is £1.

AVNPC Classes
Please note that, starting with the Autumn Open Show 2017, separate breed classes will be created for all dogs entered in AVNPC, even if only one breed is entered. This will apply to  ALL shows moving forward.

Change of Show Venue
Please note that, starting with the Autumn Open Show 2017, all GKC shows will be held at the David Ferguson Hall, Beau Sejour Leisure Centre.
